The legacy of the previous is sustained by the present. With the goal to preserve this treasure of the past, the successors of the heritage continuously commemorate and celebrate the history to constantly imprint the story of his(Ilocos Sur) story on every Ilokano's heart, soul, and mind.  Longganisa Festival is one of the four major festivals of Vigan City. This is celebrated to honor St. Paul the Apostle. During January 18-28, numerous events are being held in different parts of Vigan. There are a lot of noteworthy occasions to witness during the city fiesta. Education Night and Street Dancing Showdown Competition are two of them.  Education Night or Educators Night is a really fun event to attend. I watched teachers from different schools and clusters showcasing their talents. Singing, dancing, fire bending, cheer dancing, and many more are displayed during these event. There are also awards for teachers and schools to acknowledge their excellency in different areas. Bigueno Teacher of the Year is the most prestigious award that a teacher or educator can receive.
